Barker College – Together in learning, together in life

Located on Sydney’s North Shore, Barker College is an Anglican day and boarding school. In 2016, the School announced plans to become fully coeducational by 2022. Girls will now be accepted into Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten from 2018, from Year 3 in 2019 and in Year 7 in 2020.

The broadly based curriculum is designed to offer significant choice of subjects and courses to meet a wide range of individual student interests and abilities. Barker’s dedicated teachers nourish the soul of each and every one of our students and help them to find knowledge from information and wisdom from knowledge.

Barker students continue to demonstrate that cooperation is more effective than competition in high performing schools, with the 2016 Year 12 cohort achieving outstanding HSC results. For the 7th consecutive year, a Barker student attained the maximum possible ATAR. In addition, 45% of students achieved an ATAR of 90 or more and the School scored a record 553 Band 6’s by 190 different students, including 70 Band 6’s in Advanced English.
