Northholm Grammar School was established as a small school with a commitment to high quality relationships and service. Thirty-five years later, this is still a fundamental aspect of our philosophy. Northholm remains a vibrant learning environment where young people can access the support they need to gain the necessary knowledge, skills and personal attributes they need for a rich and purposeful life as future global citizens.
We are profoundly aware of our responsibility to ensure our students are prepared for life in an increasingly complex world. By helping them discover their own personal interests and passions and cultivating their desire to strive for personal bests in everything they undertake, our students understand how to take their place in the world.
The School’s flexible curriculum and dedicated and inspirational teachers enables us to cater for the wide range of abilities within each class so that every student can become a self-directed learner with the ability to adapt to new challenges and different contexts as they feel ready. Northholm’s Senior School program provides a high level of support. Beginning with our distinctive Year Seven Core Program which bridges the conventional primary and secondary divide by responding more effectively to the specific developmental needs of young adolescents. Year Seven students have the advantages of a small team of dedicated educators who work collaboratively to deliver all core subjects other than Mathematics, which is taught by specialist teachers. This same commitment continues throughout the Senior School.
Northholm’s Junior School’s highly skilled teachers ensure our youngest students develop a very real love of learning. By providing students with a stimulating, purposeful and enjoyable learning environment we encourage our youngest learners to discover the answers they need to make sense of their world so they can embrace new experiences with confidence.
We’d love to show you more about our different programs for each stage of your child’s development. We are very confident that our passionate teaching staff, small class sizes and the tranquil nature semi-rural location will enhance their experience of education.
